ICGC’s Follow-Up Ministry or Department is the second (second only to the Worship Service) most vital Point of Entry in ICGC's Philosophy of Ministry. Its singular purpose is to facilitate and oversee the process by which newcomers (visitors in the crowd during our Worship and Celebration service), are retained and fully integrated into the congregation, for the purpose of Fellowship.

To facilitate growth, a church does not only open its 'Front Doors' and create an atmosphere of worship conducive to its focus/target audience, it also devices a way of closing its 'Back Door', in order to consolidate the fruit or gains of any outreach and/or evangelistic effort. Jesus specifically admonished us to preserve the harvest, in the following scriptures:

"...Go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain..."
(John 15:16)

"…those that thou gavest me, I have kept..."
(John 17:12)

"...of them which thou gavest me, I have lost none..."
(John 18:9)

A Crowd, it must be noted, is NOT a Congregation – inasmuch as a pile of bricks, sand, stones or cement is NOT a building; in order to build a Congregation however, a church or ministry needs to find a way to preserve or retain the first-time guests in the Crowd. This is the primary responsibility of ICGC’s Follow-Up Department.
