THIS IS TO INFORM ALL FRIENDS OF ICGC, THAT PRELIMINARY WORK IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY, TO LAUNCH A BRANCH OF THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRAL GOSPEL CHURCH (AKA ICGC), THIS FALL, IN THE GREAT CITY OF LOS ANGELES, (THE WORLD'S ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL) aka, The "City of Angels."Code-named 'MISSION LA', this missionary enterprise is consistent with God's mandate to our Founder & General Overseer, Dr Mensa Otabil, to establish model, socially-conscious, New Testament churches, committed to: 1.SHAPING (or Casting) VISION: Raising Leaders & Influencing Society - through Christ. 2.SOCIALLY-CONSCIOUS applies to issues of social justice and service. It describes ICGC'S awareness of, and sensitivity to, the physical, social, economic and structural inequities and/or disparities present and visible in the societies, communities, and among the people-groups we serve, and the responses we employ, as a result, to halt or reverse them.3.DIGNITY for all 'mankind', based on the principle of the 'Imago Dei' (the Image of God), a concept which reminds us that all human life originates from God, is created in His image, and therefore, sacred, inalienable, with transcedent value or intrinsic worth. 4.EXCELLENCE because we serve an Excellent God (Psalm 8:1). As His 'offspring', we exhibit this divine trait or quality in every department of human existence, (spiritually, mentally, socially, physically & financially). In the words of Aristotle, "only when we develop our truly human capabilities sufficiently to achieve human excellence, will we live lives blessed with happiness."
PRENATAL PHASE:
As the PRENATAL PHASE (i.e. prior to official delivery or launch) takes shape, we encourage all current members of ICGC, in California, in the continental United States & Canada, (ie. North America), in Europe and Africa, particularly, Ghana, who IDENTIFY with ICGC's mission, HAVE TIES (friends & family) in LA, (& surrounding cities) and DESIRE to refer or direct someone to be a part of this missionary thrust, or perhaps, SUPPORT FINANCIALLY (or IN-KIND), to contact PASTOR RICK DONKOR (ICGC-Temple Adonai). CALL TO PRAYER & FASTING:
The need for real, intercessory & prevailing prayer & fasting as a prerequisite for success in any church-planting work cannot be overstated. "As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children" (Is. 66:8). May I urge ALL who read this post or note, to lift up this fledgling spiritual enterprise, obviously in its embryonic and formative stage, before the Lord in PRAYER & FASTING, knowing WHOSE we are, WHY we're doing this, and WHO we're up against. The Battle, undoubtedly, is the Lord's, but the Victory is our's, through Christ, our Lord. May we put in the sickle and reap the end-time harvest, lest the people perish and we be held accountable.
